The Best Of Morocco (10 Days – 09 Nights)

Day 1: ARRIVAL – CASABLANCA

  • Welcome upon arrival in Casablanca Mohamed V airport. Transfer to the city center and review the itinerary on the way to the hotel. Check-in, have dinner at the hotel and overnight

Day 2: CASABLANCA / MARRAKECH 250km

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Start the visit of the Economical Capital of the Kingdom by visiting the Central Market, Habbous Quarter, Royal Palace (outside view), Mohamed V Square, Anfa Residential Area, Ain Diab Corniche and the famous Hassan II Mosque
  • Lunch at a local restaurant then continue travel to Marrakech, the Red City of the country
  • Check-in, have dinner at the hotel and overnight

Day 3: MARRAKECH / AIT BENHADDOU / OUARZAZATE 205km

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Visit the Second Oldest Imperial City after Fes. It is also known as the Pearl of the South, founded by the Almoravids at the end of XI century. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, Menara Gardens, and Bahia Palace
  • Lunch in a typical restaurant then departure to Ouarzazate, crossing the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi-n-Tichka. On the way there, there will be stops for a photo opportunity at panoramic viewpoints
  • Stop to visit the Kasbah of Telouet, which once served as a Palatial Residence and as the headquarters of the powerful Glaoui tribe. Visit a side road crossing the Ounila Valley leads to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Arrive in Ouarzazate late in the afternoon
  • Check-in, have dinner at the hotel and overnight

Day 4: OUARZAZATE / GORGES OF TODGHA / MERZOUGA 310km

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Have a quick city tour of Ouarzazate: Visit Taourirt Kasbah then depart to Dades Gorges and Todra Gorges, passing the Oasis of Skoura, where numerous ancient kasbahs, some sadly in ruins, stand amongst the palm trees. From here, the route takes you through Kelaa M’gouna, the Valley of Roses, and stop to see the cosmetic articles locally- made from the valley’s abundant roses. Then drive off-road along the road of thousand Kasbahs to the Dades Gorge
  • Lunch on route and continue to Merzouga dunes via the Ziz Valley and the Oasis of Tafilalet
  • Ride the 4X4 vehicle and drive to Merzouga. Ascend the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sunset from the summit
  • Have dinner and spend the night under the Berber tents in the middle of the magical Merzouga dunes

Day 5: MERZOUGA / MIDELT / IFRANE / FES 415km

  • Wake up early to witness the sunset at the sand dunes of Merzouga with dromedaries at disposal
  • Go back to the camp to have breakfast then drive to Erfoud. Get off of the 4×4 and continue to Fes
  • On the way, stop for lunch at the town of Midelt which is famous for its fossils and rocks. Then head to the Azrou cedar forest in the Middle Atlas Mountains where you can see monkeys in their natural habitat. Then stop in Ifrane, a Berber village known as “Morocco’s Switzerland” because of its building styles. Then continue to Fes
  • Check-in, have dinner at the hotel and overnight

Day 6: FES / MEKNES / VOLUBILIS / FEZ 100km

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Whole day will be devoted to visit Fes, the Spiritual Capital of the Kingdom.
  • Visit the Medieval Medina, Medersa Bouanania, Quaraouiyine Mosque and the Nejjarine Fountain
  • Lunch in a typical restaurant in the medina then in the afternoon continue to the city of Meknes, the famous Ismailian capital known for its long walls of 40 kilometers. Visit Bab Mansour, the Royal Stables and the medina. Then visit the holy city of Moulay Idriss, and the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis
  • Return to the hotel by the end of the afternoon, have dinner then overnight

Day 7: FES / CHEFCHAOUEN / TETOUAN / TANGIER 398km

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Drive to Chefchaouen, the Blue City and one of the most beautiful towns of the Rif Mountains. It is also famous for its shady valleys Medina, white colored house, blue doors and tiles. Visit the Main Square which is the heart of Chefchaouen with the Kasbah built back in the 18th century with the central mosque and authentic café
  • Lunch in a typical restaurant in the medina then drive to Tangier passing by Tetouan. Tetuán’s Hispanic – Moorish city, is a mixture of cultures, and its medina forms a part of the World heritage of the humanity of the UNESCO. It is a nice and authentic place with markets in the streets
  • Check-in, have dinner at the hotel and overnight

Day 8: TANGIER / ASILAH / RABAT 250km

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Start the city tour of Tangier. Visit the Boulevard Pasteur, Plaza of France and the diplomatic neighborhoods
  • Then continue to the Cap Spartel with spectacular views on the Strait of Gibraltar, and have the opportunity to see the Hercules caves and its famous Door of Africa, formed by the erosion of the sea
  • Departure to Asilah, only 45 km south of Tangier. It is a white city surrounded by magnificent coasts, with Roman, Spanish and Portuguese Bastions, towers and ramparts
  • Lunch in a local restaurant famous for its delicious fish dishes then continue to Rabat
  • Check-in, have dinner at the hotel and overnight

Day 9: RABAT / CASABLANCA 100km

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Visit Rabat, the Political and Administrative Capital of the Kingdom. City tour includes the Royal Palace (Mechouar), Chellah (Merinide necropolis of the thirteenth century), Kasbah of the Oudayas, Mohamed V Mausoleum (pavilion of white marble, crowned with green tiles), and Hassan Tower (XII century)
  • Lunch in a local restaurant over the Bouregrag river then continue to Casablanca and the rest of day is free
  • Check-in, have dinner at the hotel and overnight

Day 10: CASABLANCA – DEPARTURE

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Transfer to the airport of Casablanca with assistance and take the departure flight
